Best Cure for Acne: Top 10 Tips

Acne is such a pain.

It practically ruins your plans when it comes up. Prom, your wedding, a hot date, etc.

Once it's there, you have to deal with it.

Acne must be dealt with before it begins. I'm going to provide some helpful tips that I think will help you find your own personal best cure for acne.

I'm taking a holistic approach as my best cure for acne, which basically means that I look at different aspects of my life and try to fix them for the benefit of looking good, as well as feeling good, and doing good.

Tip 1: Do NOT, and I repeat, do NOT buy over the counter products without researching into them. You should check product reviews on Amazon, etc, to make sure that a product is not going to ruin your skin.

Tip 2: Rougher is NOT better. I have heard, and know from personal experience, that abrasive scrubs, and harsh scrubbing with clothes, etc, will irritate your skin and cause you to break out.

Tip 3: Make sure to get your exercise. Exercise will help you burn excess calories and will help your catabolic rate in your body to get rid of impurities. Not to mention, that it feels great!

Tip 4: What's best for one is NOT best for all. Some products I hear my friends rave about, or that I hear talked about on the Internet might not work for me. They might be worth a try, but there is NO MIRACLE DRUG.

Tip 5: Watch what you eat. Now, please note that I am not saying to never eat fried food, chocolate, etc. You can eat these things and enjoy them, just don't go overboard. Too much sugar, fat, and oil is difficult for your body to process and may (not always), come out through your pores.

Tip 6: Less is more. Putting on lots and lots of products on your face is not always a good thing. The more you slather on things on your face, the greater the likelihood that you will irritate your skin and break out.

Tip 7: Try not to stress. Stress, for some, is a daily part of living (and it has been linked in studies to acne). However, there are methods for learning how to control it. The best strategies are to use individual counseling and/or medication.

Tip 8: Drink plenty of water. 8-10 glasses is recommended. I don't personally drink this much, but I would like to make a start. I always feel and look better when I drink enough water. Just make sure to pace yourself throughout the day.

Tip 9: Don't take your anger out on your face. I have had moments in the past when I get so angry and frustrated at my skin, that I am extra harsh and rough with it. The next day, it didn't pay off, so please, everyone, avoid doing this.

Tip 10: Don't give up. Your cure is out there. You just have to research and keep trying.

I really hope that you all find your own best cure for acne.
